Pham Mitochondrial Physiology Laboratory
The Pham Laboratory at the University of Miami is focused on measuring and improving mitochondrial health in models of optic neuropathy using a multi-modal approach. We develop murine models to enable high-resolution imaging analysis for quantifying mitochondrial clearance and dynamics in primary tissues, organotypic cultures, and retinal explants. We are exploring innovative methodologies to edit mitochondrial DNA using CRISPR-based technology.
